I just realized another plothole about the time-travel-reincarnation bullshit:
She said in the beginning that she was hired as a secretary after Aerin died, but she remembers this particular annual family meeting where Aerin is alive and well? This might have been a mistranslation, ok, but then she’s here right now? A paradox is itching to happen at this point.
I’m also not impressed with the rushed plan for the presentation. I get it that it’s all a 7yo could do in the situation but there are SO many ways it could backfire in… And just as a starting point: why would a private library, where only the family and very select few have access, need to do a business report? Is it more of an aquisition type thing? Ok, let’s go with that, the library needs/wants new books. They can only order once a year?
And even after that, is the person sorting through submissions/scanning papers an automated robot? Or retarded? Is no one going to have the “Oh, shit! What are these numbers?” reaction that Alphonse had after browsing a few pages? I’m guessing they’d only put in the most outrageous pages so… Is no one going to go:
“Huh, these numbers seem outrageous/fucked up… Maybe i should talk to Lord Uncle HavetokillmyfamilyForTheLULZ and double check this is supposed to be in his presentation?” Or hell, even try to blackmail him?
Keep in mind, I’m not even saying this in a derisive way towards the characters, they’re doing the best they can with what they’re given. The real culprit is the author who wrote themselves into so many corners with the time-travel-reincarnation plot.
I forgot the picture.
Cursed were-pig. As cursed as the plot.
Is Alphonse the only one brave/stupid enough to say it? Is she the only character with the good sense to even mention the obvious to the madman?
We have a winner! Alphonse, in the library, with the common sense! Uncle Megane-baka goes down like a a rock, because he has rocks for brains.
I feel like i bitched so much that i need to state:
I’m still enjoying this series.
