The Duke of Lancaster, who staged a rebellion seeking independence from the Empire, fell to the hands of the Emperor’s loyal knight, Laszlo Chrysus. Captured in despair was the young and beautiful Duchess of Lancaster, Idel Lancaster.
Presented as “spoils of war” before the nobles, the Emperor bestows her upon Laszlo Chrysus, claiming he needs a maid.
Now Laszlo’s “possession,” Idel resolves to end her life before suffering humiliation. However, Laszlo unexpectedly instructs her, saying she is hired as a “real” maid.
But to the eyes of Idel, the perfect duchess, the Chrysus estate appears woefully lacking… Little by little, the “duchess-turned-maid” begins transforming the Chrysus household.
